Well, just take it one step at a time, Love. Whatever you want to do, we'll find a way to make it work out. That's what life is all about after all right? Finding happiness. Do what you love and the money will follow. Whatever either of us decides, we CAN make it work regardless of societal norms and conditions. Never say never and don't be gloomy! You have a clean slate - step forward and seek your fortune! I know it's scary but just keep in mind that I'll be right here by your side every step of the way!!! I love you, Richard!

I think there is much to be gained by going "back in time" to face old demons. But not until you're "ready", whatever that means to you.

Speaking from the perspective of a chronic overachiever do-too-much workaholic, I'd suggest that perhaps you should say on vacation a while longer. Having a girlfriend and classes and stressful work all piled on top of each other can get difficult.

Ease into things slowly... Draw boundaries about what you're willing to do and don't get pressured into shit. You're in no rush, eh?

I seriously think that you may have picked up some coping skills and mental tools in life since you first went into computer tech stuff, so it's possible that you can keep a handle on things. and also, i remember your post about that power outage and how great you felt about what you were able to do in that situation. it looks like this company has kept you on for a while and is willing to work with you on things and that you may also have a rapport with your co=workers and that you are quite familiar and possibly comfortable with your surroundings. it may be possible to nicely design your higher up job to give you the challenge you NEED in life to grow and mature and become a full funtioning adult, since what you are in, truthfully, isn't quite up to par on that, it is stressful enough or taxing enough. you need something that will drive you along, push in the right direction, and make those hours here and there of free time feel more meaningful and be more cherisehed.
