Began work on epic self-portrait tonight. Well, "work" began weeks ago with construction and sketches. But actual painting began tonight. It's difficult to describe really. Painting is always somewhat of a zen experience for me. But this sort of goes beyond the zen and I'm not sure if it does so in a good or a bad way. Consider that the

I think what we need to do is after it's finished, type up a big banner that says, "WAY TO GO." And then hang it up for all to see. I'd totally buy it. If I had money. But I'd totally would.

and if you put the "way to go" on there it would REALLY be great to mark your presence in your house while you're gone for the summer.

Oh, that reminds me. There is a possibility that I'll be staying in seattle for the summer. I applied for an internship that opened up last-minute at a video game company that one of my instructors works for. The rest of the people in my class who would've been interested were distracted by a trip that was going down to a big movie studio in oregon. So I think I'm the only one from the class who even applied. So the question remains how many OTHER people from other things heard about it and applied. I sent in my stuff like 2 days after I talked to you.

My hopes are not high, but it is 40hrs a week paid, so i could actually support myself over the summer (and with an internship(!?), and one in video games no less) if it works out. I'd put my chances at < 10% right now, but I thought I'd let you know that way you don't get a call in 2 weeks of me saying, "Oh yeah, not coming home this summer btw."
