I'd heard about this dispute and on-going negotiations last week after Virgin announced that Sky were being totally unreasonable and that they'd walked out of talks as Sky were refusing to compromise. Sky's PR guy was quoted as saying they wanted their programs to be seen by Virgin customers but it was up to Virgin to see that their terms were in the best interests of Virgin's customers. In other words, we ain't going to deal. :(

Interesting to hear that Sky went through on their threat though and cut Virgin off.

As a potential Virgin customer, I'm going to wait and see what happens.

I sent a email complaint to Virgin Media forum this, then checked the forum and this morning there were a least 900 odd pages of emails, with who knows how many per page.

I have the best (and worst) of both worlds. In Nottingham I was a Sky/BT customer and happy. My move to Birmingham (and some dodgy DIY choices by a previous occupant) have made being a BT customer effectively impossible. So I am now a Sky/Virgin Media customer. I have VM's phone and broadband, and Sky's TV. And paying through the nose for the priviledge

I have no idea what P2P is, but you said elsewhere you had already watched some episodes of Hero's.

I gave up on Lost since missing several episodes of season 2, never watch 24, and is the Dresden Files any good, it about magic using cop or something like that isn't it.

It doesn't matter if you miss episodes of Lost. I'm in the middle of Season 3 and it still doesn't make any sense :)

Dresden files is cool. I had it described to me as a mans version of charmed. Its better.
