2) Actually, I was rather impressed at how well Katerina Witt looks. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for our former communist Teutonic figure-skater with awful taste in costumes.
4) Is that what it is?
5) Well, that's very sad, but her nose has spread over half her face! Is that was alcoholism does? It's a shame, really. I don't expect her to remain gorgeous for ever, but still, she's a wreck. You can't even see her bone structure in her face.
6) You're a huge dork, you know that, right?
Other random notes:
- did "L.A. Law" have some special cultural significance in Norway?
- George Wendt looks weird and should not dye his hair
- The black guy from "Miami Vice" looks exactly the same as he did 20 years ago
- I like how Lou Ferigno's by-line said "Hulken"
- I am still horrified by the beefy, white-trash monstrosity that is Tonya Harding.
It's a promo for the new season of a TV show called "Gylne Tider" ("Golden Times" ... or in English, it'd probably be called "Golden Years.") I've never heard of it but the Norwegian Wikipedia page about the show sounds pretty interesting: ..."In the series we meet program host Øyvind Mund, cameraman Steinar Marthinsen, and sound man Ingar Thorsen, who travel around and meet their childhood heroes." The first two seasons focused on Norwegian and Swedish celebrities. In 2006, they busted out and went international.
well, I suppose that makes a bit of sense, but still, can anyone explain the Falcon Crest actress?
Oh, and I did some noodling around and saw some youtubed vidoes (which they did and then had them lip synch "Let It Be") - Kelly McGillis was one: man, she is a pretentious drip.
Correct. The Norwegian wikipedia page contains a good summary of what the show is about - interviews and "what do they do now" with childhood celebrities of the announcers. I guess they simply shot them doing parts of "Let it be" during each interview.
80's nostalgia was huge in Sweden a few years ago, and I guess it spread to Norway to. I do find it amusing that the first season concentrated on Swedish celebrities, and seems to have missed out on Gyllene Tider themselves!
