Server may be down at night because Alison's mum is sleeping in the same room as the server....

Ahh, those heady sleepless nights. Nap with the baby. Helps prevent insanity!

Would love to come over and visit in person, can you let me know what suits?

Yay for being home. My first night was ok in hospital, but the second night I was just fed up and wanted to go home.

Let me know when you think it'll be safe to pop in. The car seat cover is probably going to be needed (it's good for keeping baby warm and out of the wind even if it's not raining) so might drop it in anyway even if I don't come in.

Beautiful. I was in for 7 days with Amelia, but then she was prem and they let m stay with her on Wythenshawe's (at that time) new Transitinal Care Unit as Neo Natal (where she should have gone) was full. It meant they didn't have to transport her elsewhere and leave me. When Neo Natal has space and her feeding hadn't improved she went to Neonatal and I came home (and got some sleep and stopped crying). I was in for 3 mights with Rebecca. I think that was more to do with staff shortages and they couldn't see me to discharge. It took them AGES to respond to any call. It was near Christmas so people were probably on hols.

Yea, staff shortages seemed to be the problem at Bolton as well. Over half the people on where trainees (lovely people but still trainees) and night and weekend cover seemed to consist of one person for the ward. Mixed messages was the other problem, one midwife would say something was fine, then the next would say it was a problem....
