Iceland, why oh why?

Now they want to take up whaling again

Do icelanders just have a deep, deep desire to be disliked?

While I don't agree with whaling, in regards to losing billions of dollars, that failure is designated to the 3 banks which didn't manage their debt correctly and as a result the country and it's people are undergoing a severe economic recession. Can't really say much for a volcano, these things happen but I have to say Iceland is one of the most unique countries I have ever visited with the most beautiful landscape and the people were absolutely lovely.

On Bjork - she's ok. I prefer Sigur Ros. ;)

I was mostly being silly, I've been to Iceland and they're lovely people. Don't understand why they would want to go whaling, but it's probably down to an influential minority as in Japan.
