Were the Twin Towers not attacked on September 11th? Not the 9th of November.

You may have got confused as Americans have their date format different to ours so it is writted 09/11.

Looked it up, but have a question or two.

Sarcasm

A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.

Does this mean you are ridiculing the two minute silence on September 11th? Or any other mark of respect?

I am not ridiculing the two minutes silence or any other mark of respect, not at all. Just the fact that the Americans have their own calendar and our stupidity in using it only for certain events. We say that those who voted George Bush back into office are dumb but then what are we for using their calendar when we have our own to track events of historical signifance? I can't believe you needed this explaining to you though. Who are you anyway?
