The funniest Oscars ever? You never know...

I do love Chris Rock. I hope he does change the Oscars when he hosts it. It takes itself FAR too seriously and needs someone like him to puncture some egos. And he's right about the neglect shown to black people and comedy in the awards.

The best Oscars ceremony was the one hosted by David Letterman. It was brilliant because he sent up the whole show too. Nobody in Hollywood liked it and he's never hosted it since, but it was exactly what the awards needed.

I really do hope Rock stirs things up a bit. The change in format could also mess it up which I'm all for! All the nominees on stage? Talk about public humiliation! It's just what is needed in my view! :D

I do like Chris Rock (as a standup more than an actor) and I really want to stay up and watch it this year, for all those reasons. But the bastards have scheduled Oscar Night as the night before one of my exams, which is damned inconvenient.

I'm most worried that it'll be a generation-defining disaster of Brits-like proportions, and I'll have missed it. Oh well, at least I'll get to see clips of it on "I Heart 2005" for all eternity.

I am really looking forward to the Oscars because of this shake-up,but not for Chris Rock who angers me usually.
