I plan on heading to Hickory tomorrow around noonish. The mapping programs say it takes about 4.5 hours from the Philadelphia area. I'll be traveling on my motorcycle so I think I'd like to head up to Scranton and take Rt. 6 from there. I know this is supposed to be a very scenic tour ( Read more... )

I'm getting up at 4:30am, work for 6 hours and then head up to Wellsboro. Over a 300 mile trip. I should be ready to party when I get there.

It's been over 30 years for me. I checked with the mapping programs and most recommend taking Rt. 6 from Scranton to Wellsboro so that's the way I'm going :-D Roughly 2.25 hour trip. But first I have to travel up the Northeast Extension to get there :-(

~I just ran the spell checker on this post and it didn't recognize "Wellsboro." One of the suggested replacements was "Salisbury" (wtf?)

I didn't realize route 6 went south to Scranton, I have driven it east and west across the top of the state, way cool, but can't help you with the southern route. Sorry
