[Now cold Thor can deal with.
He noticed the chill when he woke up this morning - a deeper chill than he's felt so far in Mayfield, without the strange stuffy feeling of the artificial heat that he's almost grown accustomed to. When all attempts to locate the source of power for said heat fail, he dons a second sweater (a ridiculous-looking garment, in his opinion, but warm) and heads down into the kitchen, where he announces to anyone in the family who may be present:]
Stir yourselves! We are building a fire!

[By noon of the first day, Thor will, with the help of anyone who shows up, have insulated the windows and doorframes with whatever tarps, cloths, and blankets could be spared. The goats will be inside, chewing on the furniture but providing warmth (when they don't mysteriously vanish into the ether for minutes at a time). There will be a roaring fire in the hearth in the living room, blankets on the floor, and what food they have counted and carefully put away.
Anyone is welcome - the more bodies around this fire, the greater the warmth for everyone, after all! Bring your own beer, or blankets, or fire magic; come with a story; come with the whole family! Time to beat the cold the viking way.
Thor will be around the house, tending the fire, keeping the goats of out people's way, or just sitting and talking with anyone who happens to show up - he's having quite a good time of this.]
