I've got a question regarding decanting, and you're easily the most knowledgeable wine person I know....
Do you have to pour the wine into a new container to decant it, or is it often enough to just let it sit open for a while? Or is letting it sit open a while called something else, and I'm getting all mixed up?
BTW, need a wine selection for a meal.... 28-day dry aged Angus Porterhouse, bleu cheese and garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus. Preferably under $75.... It's for Katie's birthday, and I'm running out of money....
