The images are all quite temporary, until I can code it properly, which... could be a bit. But hey, I'm not exactly on a time limit, lots of time to experiment.
If you would like to stick with your 8-bittish typeface, but still have actual text that people can doooo things with, you should consider using @font-face in your CSS stylesheet. Observe! Compliant browsers will show your name in a particular way, whether you have that particular typeface installed or not. (Man, the one I'm using has lousy spaces, though.)
Experiment away! I like the feel of the font, but it is a little hard to read.
I think one thing that would make it easier to read would be to make the text a different color or shade from the borders. There's not enough contrast to make me comfortable looking at it, and my brain doesn't want to separate the blocky green text from the blocky green graphics.
The header image takes up tons of space, but I love the concept.
