Getting this figured out, sort of. After posting Santa Fe in a hurry, discovered typos and errors and some bad choices. Can never proof too much. And thanks to Ea in Denmark for some extra-eyes, proofing, I went back and fixed the text, both here and on the Brokeback Phoenix site. Rick, I tried to send an eMail to your LJ address, but it came back. I wanted to tell you that we are just about in the same age group. I was born in 1949. There are probably not many people our age
on LJ who are interested in Brokeback Mountain. Donna

There are a few of us. Not that many our age, but some even older. Donna Macintosh is 68 I think. What I'm fining sad is that the Brokeback group doesn't seem to be about Brokeback any more. More about a certain clique's "naughty parties on the porch" or discussing Jake and Heath. My story didn't even generate comments from any of the moderators. I didn't think it was that bad. I do know one member I accidentally insulted has refused my apology or to acknowlege me in any way since, and, I'm sure (don't think I'm paranoid) that she's influenced her "friends" to join her in ignoring me. But heck, I don't have time to read much fanfic, either, so I just chalk it up to more lessons in accepting rejection, the writer's constant companion. lol.
I don't know enough about LJ to know if that address works as an email addy. Didn't think so, but I can't even navigate my own site, so what do I know? Thanks for sending it here.
