Today's XKCD is the saddest. But the rollover text is supremely quotable.

I would link it, but if you don't have XKCD bookmarked (or at least through an RSS feed to your LJ or whatever), then there is nothing I can do for you... because I don't know who you are and what you have done with my friend.

Um... I don't read XKCD. I can't get past the visuals.

Am I still invited to the wedding?

You have a tough time with...stick figures?

I do, in that I don't find them visually appealing. Comic strips are at least in part a visual medium. If I don't like the visuals, I won't read the strip.

That is a shame. I love the visuals, myself. I find them incredibly expressive. But then, some people don't think inkers are artists. Tastes vary, and that's a good thing - I am sad in this case that ours don't align, but there it is.

I agree about the quotability, but I still think that Spirit (#695) was sadder, by far.

Really. That's ... interesting. A piece of machinery getting stuck on a faraway planet. I chuckled at that, and thought it was sort of funny/sweet. But not _sad_.
