I always liked to hand the drum machine over to Paul and have him program stuff. Maybe give it (the drum machine or whatever software/sampling you're using) to Cohn (or another actual drummer) for a few days? They (drummers) just seem to do interesting things when they get to play fake drums.

i usually quit trying for a few days... when it happens it happens..

oh hey, what kind of drum stuff do you use? Seth and I use a really old program called MIDI Orchastrator Plus. We write all of our parts on it and then record just the drum and bass when we're ready to do a song.

check it: http://www.victroladjango.com/mp3

It's crazy when you write something cool and then have to learn how to play it cause the notes aren't as familiar as if you were messing around on a guitar to come up with the part.

yeah i remember that program but have never used it. usually for the drums i have been using the hyper edit in logic pro. lately things are lame though.

i have never checked that band out. i guess i should since you and seth are both my friends.

Rick - I want to play Bernie Taupin again and write the words to the presidents song. As a poli-sci minor it would be a travesty if I didn't. Perhaps it can be about an obscure one.
