10- 80's music man stingray- it sounds good too! this has been my main bass for 7 years. lately it has been getting a lot of abuse and i am worried that it might get stolen so i think i am going to retire it from touring.
Rick - You have had this bass for five years, not seven. But I enjoyed reading this post anyway.
The EBO is here. I stripped it done to the orginal finish and left it at that. I dont know who put that black paint on it. That short neck is fucking rad. But it needs a new pick up and i think the board in it is fried, its been a while since its been plugged into an amp. The Ice Pick got the best of it, or i should say a ice house or a beast ice got the best of it. It doesn't even have strings on it. I took the strings off so it would keep the neck from warping because of the fact that it is so old and I move from place to place with no steady climate control. But she's still straight as an arrow. It's on the list along with the Conn Electric to get re-wired and fixed up. I think the Conn will come first though. That thing is a monster of sound. I just need a new set of a keys for that or to find a way to make it so its stereo again. But i would of loved to seen the EBO in it's original condition. But in all truth if i sat down for maybe a day i could have the EBO in playing condition. Im probably over estimating the amount of beer
( ... )
I will, i dont know what i want to do with it. I love that short neck on it. And it does have that jazz rock sound to it. I was thinking about it and i bought it from dustin, and i dont know who he bought it from before that. That bass went through muskegon bass players and many alike half a dozen times. But i will let you know what even comes of it. But i like to hold on to what i have. Im still kicking myself in the ass for letting my Ludwig go.
