I'm sorry, I could go on for days about this, but it seems pretty self-evident (I'm not being snide, I'm just saying...). Are you in a band? If so, you probably understand why it's "necessary."
It's probably important for bands to be in conversation with their listeners these days, and something like myspace would centralize that for the listeners.
Or perhaps I'm way off. It's likely there are "useful" features on myspace that my webbrowser simply blocks because I find them super fucking annoying.

I just wanted to let you know that seeing you live changed a lot of aspects of music for me. first off, i never thought bass was a very good instrument untill i saw rock and roll machine. that blew me away. my friends and i started a band a couple months ago and guess what i play... bass! the absolute energy you put into your show was inspiring to me. i also got your e.p. emotional fascisim at the live show. please play at delta center some more again. thank you for showing me bass is cool and lots of fun
