I just love scrambling like sixty to meet a deadline only to have what I was working on postponed. Case in point, the first e-mail I read this morning

I hate when that happens, in fact, it happens so frequently I try to live by "deadlines amuse me".

That's a good way to look at it. It may lessen the stress. Deadlines should be viewed as guidelines rather than absolutes. Ah, the stress melts away.
