Hey, I've actually got one of those. The George Foreman Original. But don't use it that often because it's a royal pain to clean. It was part of my effort to expand my culinary skills. That along with a Crock Pot (which I haven't used in several years).

Don't you make fun of the George! *waves spatula menacingly* I love mine... it has the auto-shutoff timer so that I can't possibly burn anything.

I agree with u though about people selling crap. We get these somewhat frightening, er, youth around here pawning cheap candy at a huge markup, for some kind of program that's supposed to keep them off drugs. For a laugh I asked to see the literature about the program and the area code on it was wrong (it changed about 3 years ago!) so I am not sure this kid even had anything to do with said group. But I was more afraid of what would happen if I *didn't* contribute.

So, Chris, how do you keep your George clean? I have the devil's own time cleaning the thing up without getting it wet. It's the cleaning the keeps me from indulging in the culinary arts more often. I hate the clean-up and figure why bother with a big fancy meal and big fancy mess when I'm fixing it just for me?

I just can't say no to people. Since the kids can't sell the stuff without threat of kidnapping or worse, the parents are forced to "guilt" their colleagues into supporting their kids causes. Luckily, I suppose, I don't have to deal much with the door-to-door sales at my apartment. But, the telemarketers. Grrr. Don't get me started.
