This, too, shall pass. As your peer group ages, they'll be able to see past their next lay. People are of an age when the clock is ticking and they feel that urge to pair up. Hanging out with a woman might be misconstrued by other women; they might appear as "already taken". You are a liability to those who actively seek a mate, unless you meet them in a neutral group environment where people know one another and know who's hooked up with whom. Don't take it personally. I lost my best friend in college - he was my "bridesmaid" - once he met his fiancee. She didn't like me; I was perceived as a threat, even though I was already married and all that. Too bad; he was a nice guy ( ... )
