If you run while sick, your body will be harmed in other ways. The heart tends not to like that sort of a thing, for instance, and your immune system will take a beating it doesn't need and you might end up with a secondary, bacterial infection on top of the virus. However, you could probably work on your core, right? A Pilates or a yoga video will help you retain muscle mass and will warm up your muscles and help you stretch them out. The aerobic capacity will come right back.
