Just A Geek, by Wil Wheaton

Audiobook.

Read by the author.

HELL YES.

I can't believe that it took me nearly 5 years to read Just a Geek (well, yes I can, because I find that the more I want something, the less I am able to approach it. I still haven't watched the Rick at the Rockford from 2006, or finished reading any of the U2 books I bought ( Read more... )

I still haven't gotten all the way through Just A Geek, but it's only about 2 feet away from me even as I type. I am a pathetic reader.

It must have been even more interesting having him read it.

I still have an Under The Radar magazine with an Interpol interview in it from 4+ years ago that I haven't finished. Not exactly a book, but just an example of "I want to savour it" kind of thing. I know what you mean.

It was fantastic, because he doesn't just read it. He acts it. And since it's non-fiction, he actually relives it for us. It goes without saying he's a gifted actor, and who better to play the part?

Plus, he adds little tangents and asides that transpired since the book went to print, so BONUS WHEATON.

I said it when I was 13, I said it in an interview, and I still say it - Wil Wheaton is HILARIOUS!
