Disappointing to be in Salt Lake City holding tickets for the concert, though. Even though it's terrible for Bono, it's still hard not to be slightly upset when a concert gets cancelled.

I'm more upset for Maya than for myself. I don't know how I am going to break it to her that her concert has been postponed. :(

Totally off topic:
I was thinking about books to recommend for Brandon and seeing this picture actually made me think of a good one. I am a HUGE Neil Gaiman fan (he's the one on the far right) and have read all of his books (except for 'Stardust, which I couldn't seem to get into but I thought the movie based on it was cute). Anyway, last year he published another children's book that wound up winning the Newbery Award. I think I wrote about it in my LJ last year but didn't make the connection for your son until now.

The name of it is The Graveyard Book and although there are somewhat scary parts (okay, like the beginning where the central character's parents get murdered), the premise is so unique (he gets raised by ghosts in a nearby graveyard) and Gaiman's storytelling so clever that I think he would like it. I think you would, too. Tell me that you don't fall in love with Silas.
