I've been a little curious, so this weekend I finally got a chance to check my credit report again. AWESOME! 0 Potentially negative things, 21 in good standing. Almost every single one of the 21 are credit cards or loans that have been closed and/or paid off and every one of them said 'never late' for the pay status. Then I searched around

That is awesome, hopefully mine will be in the 700s soon. Last I checked my mid score was 650 something.

I'm wondering if the only reason mine wasn't any higher was because of how much stuff I have open...not necessarily the number of things, but because of my mortgage and stuff like that...being that it's such a big amount that I owe...I dunno. lol Because all there is thats open...my mortgage, my car loan (which will be paid off in Aug woohoo!), one major credit card with a small balance, best buy card with no balance, a sears and fashion bug card which I haven't even used in years...I dunno, I'm tired and rambly and it's time to go to work...lol

Yeah. All that stuff does matter. If you don't use those cards and keep a 0 balance on them constantly I'd say just close them out. It'll make your credit go up more not having them open than having them open and not using them.

The only card I want to close, and have been trying to close, is my Fashion Bug card. I'm really having a hard time with that, since there's no # on the back of the card that you can call and NOWHERE on their website could I find any phone numbers whatsoever. I tried emailing them through their website and haven't heard back lol. Other than that...I'd be happy to just have the other 3 and keep up with them...it's much, much better than the 15-ish I had at one point =X
