SO yeah. Hah, bet you thought this was long dead eh? well sadly not. However I did take a year out from posting, and I wish I could say it was to collect and collate my thoughts into a cohesive synthesis the end product of which was a tangible product. But sadly no ( Read more... )

It's posts like this that really, really make me want to get back into webcomiccing. I miss so much about it, and I've tried restarting so many times but it just keeps... flopping. I've still got the Giram's Golem idea that resurfaces every couple of months, but I still haven't ever finished a version of the script. Or even if I could come up with a different idea. The easy route would be to find another "writer" and just draw what they tell me to, but I want to do it on my own this time, yanno? Plus it's pretty sucky having to rely on someone else for material (as I'm sure you already learned).

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I know exactly (maybe not exactly) how you feel in regards to webcomics and the whole webcomic community. I want back in. I'm not sure if it's a directly comment to anything you've posted, but it got me thinking.

working with someone else is always awesome, depending on how well it works and stuff, but i think I'd be happiest working on my own but kinda getting ideas off other people if that makes sense? I dont like being restricted with a certain character when their owner says they wont act like that, It was a big problem in the end with LifeWaltz when all the characters were other peoples and it became too hard to keep them in their own respective skins.

I'd rather just make my own cast from scratch and do a story that amused me, instead of having to answer to others. But saying that, I like working with other writers, and when I'm lucky, working as a writer for other artists.

You should get involved again though, it'd be cool. Hammy started up another comic, we could return to that golden age of all three of us updating, back in the old days, when I first started internet-ing. :D
