I'm all for D/Hr, but like..seriously! She's not going to just fall head over heels in love, and neither is he. There's got to be some inner struggle.

Poor writing. When the author is obviously not a good writer, it's really hard for the fiction to be any good. Also, poor knowledge of canon. I've read some ridiculous stuff before...Oh, and I won't even look at anything with an OC or Mary Sue or whatever. JK has written enough canon characters that there is no need to make up on or write yourself as an author into a fic.

I also think the most cliche plot is that either Ron/Hermione or Harry/Ginny is trying to get the other couple together with a crazy plan, and in the end, the couple gets together and kisses passionately in front of "the whole Gryffindor Common Room," and the audience cheers. Little did I know that the latter part of this plot would become canon (Harry and Ginny's kiss...). Another cliche plot is "Character 1 mourned deeply ( ... )
