RIDDLE FEST 2008 - General Information
Hello and welcome again to the Riddle Gifts Fest of 2008. Like last year, an anonymous gift exchange and a ficathon will be held simultaneously. Sign ups will begin on May 9th, but before then, here is some general information. There will be two sign up posts: one for the gift exchange, and one for the ficathon. You can sign up either one of them or for both if your heart desires, but if you decide to do both, please make sure you at least complete your assignment for the gift exchange. If you submit your entry early on and would like to claim a ficathon prompt, you are more than free to do so.
Currently, we are accepting prompts for this year's ficathon. You can submit prompts into either post on LiveJournal or InsaneJournal. Prompts from last year will be used again. However, please note that all claimed prompts from last year will be disqualified for this round. Doing so will ensure that the same prompts don't get claimed year after year.
All fics and art for both exchange and ficathon must be emailed to the mods at riddlefest@gmail.com. To preserve anonymity only the mod can post in the community. The mods will make a posting schedule containing both exchange and ficathon works and post them, beginning on July 17th. The posting time will depend on the number of participants and submitted entries. Between 2-4 entries may be posted every day. It all depends on the number of fic and art submitted.
The exchange and ficathon participants must obviously stay anonymous until the reveal, but all participants are encouraged to pimp and link to this community. However, all fic and art must remain exclusive to the community until the end of the fest and cannot be posted anywhere else on the internet.

Since this fest has new mods, all dropped participants will be excused for this round. They can sign up for the fest again. However, anyone who drops out from this year's fest will be disqualified for next year.
