It never occurred to me to ask this question. Voldemort achieved so much with the wand he got as a child that it would be impossible for him to simply dump it. He treasured all the artefacts and what they meant, and what better place to hide this one than hand it his younger self? :)

Beautiful art, I love how vulnerable Tom looks like, half-naked :) *hearts*
