OH MY GOD YOU GUYS, I MADE A TUTORIAL.
Today, we go from
to
in like, 5 steps.
OKAY.
So we have this base.
It is of Jonny Radtke. For some reason, Jonny Radtke is currently EXTREMELY blue. Really, too blue to do anything with.
Make a Color Balance adustment layer.
On midtones, my settings are these:
CYAN/RED: 43
MAGENTA/GREEN: 89
YELLOW/BLUE: -67
On Shadows:
CYAN/RED: 17
MAGENTA/GREEN: -19
On Highlights:
CYAN/RED: 29
YELLOW/BLUE: -14.
Click Ok. Flatten.

Now, it looks kinda weird and dusty, so we duplicate the flattened layer twice. Set the bottom of Multiply, the top on Hard Light. Mess with opacity settings as needed, but I left both at 100.
Flatten!

Make ANOTHER Color Balance Adjustment Layer.
Settings this time:
Midtones:
CYAN/RED: 33
YELLOW/BLUE: -23
Highlights:
CYAN/RED: 15
This is just to degreenify things a wee bit.
Click Ok. Merge once again!

Now, this is a bit dark for my tastes, so I duplicate the flattened image, set it to screen at 30% opacity, and desaturate it.

And you're done! Do with this new, magically unblue icon what you will.
