I have Jewish friends who never got into this tradition because their families kept Kosher and couldn’t overlook the possibility of pork or seafood. OTOH, it is also becoming a tradition among friends who don’t celebrate Christmas but aren’t Jewish.

I’m heading to Toronto today and plan to pick up Chinese for my family lunch.
