Depending on how the rest of the year goes for me, this might actually turn into a thing??? Because what better way to slightly document one's life than to turn it into a bit of fanfiction, LOL AMIRITE?
Yixing sprawled out his arms on the table and let his head fall on top with a small thud. Nothing but strained groans would come out of his mouth, and his eyes felt heavy with each blink.
“How are you holding up, intern?” Luhan’s voice suddenly rang through Yixing’s ears.
“Yes, I am alive,” Yixing sat up in his chair and tried to blink away the rest of his fatigue.
Luhan laughed heartily at the quirky gesture and placed a paper cup of water on top of the table. Yixing hadn’t realized that he had been so thirsty all this time.
“You really lucked out though, you know,” Luhan spoke again.
Yixing looked up from his empty paper cup with a curious look. “What do you mean?”
Luhan stretched his arms out exaggeratedly and started walking back to his own table before turning around and giving Yixing a cheeky grin.
“Morning sessions like these are nothing compared to the afternoon ones. If this feels like a marathon to you, then the later shift is like a trek up a mountain.”
Yixing dropped his head to the table once more.
