"I think that's wise," Scott said hollowly, lying beside her and staring at the ceiling.
"Is it as bad as I think it is?" Jean asked.
Scott cleared his throat. "Well. The professor says we have to pay for a new carpet in his office and to have every flat surface in his office refinished. No one's willing to use the gym until we disinfect every piece of equipment in it. Warren is buying the house a new pool table and burning the old one. Female students burst into giggles when they see me. And male students bow down and chant, 'We're not worthy.' "
"So it's not all bad," Jean said.
