Eastern. Like Michigan to the north, and KY (at least the portion below us) to the south.

Make the time line a line!

Well, if the whole idea is to bring us in line with the rest of modern society, Eastern please. At least then we'll match a coast. What's to be gained from putting us on Central -- make us more Oklahomey?

i, too, am for eastern.

a few years ago, i celebrated solstice, in part, with a reading of "do not go gentle into that good night." RAGE, RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT!

some time later, i realized that summer solstice is a stupid time to meditate on that poem, as you can't get away from the inevitablitiy that the light is going to die. so, i've started trying to do the raging in mar-apr-may, when i notice the lengthening of the days and feel joyful.

i'm beginning to think that maybe one of us should move further south, and then we can all spend part of the year here and part of the year further south, so as to maximize the light thing but still have some seasons. hmmmm. i don't know if there's anywhere in the southern US that is far enough away from IN to make a marked difference in wintertime daylight hours. definitely needs a little research....hmmm again, i say....

for, i love the turning of the wheel, but i HATE how the dark times make me feel.
