i learned about this a couple weeks ago, but it's taken some time to sink in. and the goings-on in my neighborhood have perforated me sufficiently quickly to have it sink it deeper and quicker. maybe i've mentioned it already, but i can't recall if i told y'all here and i've been ruinating about it. i mean ruMinating.

That's one of the most awful things I've ever heard. How come I'm just hearing about it now!?!? I mean, I can guess I see about preemptively harvesting Ash, as we've just recently had the borer uncovered here in Marion County and so now they're destroying Ash trees around town. But DAMN!

I'd say something cynical, like the only way to protect trees is to own the land they're on, but even that isn't foolproof...
