~raises hand~ Real friend here. I know we've not spoken for months, but after you returned to internetland for a while and then dropped off again, I thought you might have fallen on times too hard for me to be of any help with. I miss you. The Forge misses you. Any chance of you sticking around this time?
Also, you went to Stonehenge WTF WTF WTF?! (And yayyayyay!)
Also also, qu'est-ce que c'est 'moulaged'?
Also also also, HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY!!!
I survived 2009. Some people I know didn't. And so it goes.
Yes, love. I know, and thanks. I miss you too. And I was in fact, in a place where I couldn't bear to speak to anyone for a while. Things are better, although changing again. Proof of life, I suppose.
We didn't go to the real Stonehenge. There's a life-size, and spacially correct, replica near the Columbia river in Washington. A war memorial for, I believe, WWI. Regardless, it was very cool. The girl and I hunted up a lot of wierd and wonderful places on a long-weekend when we ran away.
Moulage is a military term for face painting. I work for the Air Force, for another two weeks. In October, I think, they had a Combat Dining Out. There was a huge water fight, and food, and general hilarity. This included camoflauge. We had a great time.
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I'm almost even really older.
Good to know you survived 2009. It was crappy for nearly everyone I know. 2010 should be better.
I'm glad that you have things to be grateful for, sugar. I hope that 2010 brings you loads of happiness and a much, much easier road that the one you've been on the last bit.
I don't say it often enough, or maybe I say it far too often. In any case, I LOVE YOU. I missed you terribly those last days, and I always look forward to talking to you, reading your mails, sharing a bit of silliness or seriousness, or playing some happy-fun-time-games.
I love your strength and your bravery, your perseverance, your stubbornness and your loveliness - and that you have claws if you need them.
Thank you for letting me get to know you. I wish you all the best for the new year, and I believe with all my heart that it will be a better one.
