I'm told I can speak to this as easily as I can press the keys...strange as it seems to dictate to a machine... I'd much prefer to write with a pen, but if there's no way to do that, I suppose this will have to do ( Read more... )

I dunno. I always thought you don't wonder if you're nuts, if you're... y'know, nuts.

We met a talking...ferret...stoat...some sort of creature last night. But it spoke.

...

No, I suppose one doesn't wonder if one's mad when one's mad. Madmen are said to think they're sane, aren't they?

You got any problems with talking birds?

Not that I'd know, but, yeah.

...

Am I speaking to a talking bird? I suppose I don't have any problems with it...now.

All I want in the world right now is to go home.

[click, then a voice with a discernible French accent mixed with London dialect speaks.]

Madness exists everywhere, mademoiselle, but it depends on the degree.

Then how mad must one be to see talking birds and animals?

[ooc: ...you did not just do this! XD]

Ah, if we must equate madness to drops of spirit of wine, then...

[ooc; lolz c'mon Frenchie gets pinged when someone says "madness".]

And yet, I have had none.

[ooc: Madness? This is Sparta.]

First callers are a talking crow and a Frenchman. Well, isn't this an interesting start.

Actually, he calls himself a raven. A talking raven and a talking weasel within a day of one another. I believe I'm getting used to my madness.

As for the Frenchman...I'm not sure what to make of him.

Why, I'd be shocked to see a talking horse next, especially one that demanded a ride through the gardens.

And what is he discussing with you in that tongue? I'd be most impressed if he were already complimenting you.

Having seen all this so far, I shouldn't be surprised to see that next.

I suppose he is complimenting me, after a fashion. He called me a 'wild white rose' and I threatened to prick him.

Ah, I remember Clive was speaking to you last night through this machine--unless I'm mistaken--?

In all honesty, it is a relief that if we must be here, we are at least together.

Mmhmm. I'm Elendira.

It's better to have people you know around you even if this place can be a bit sticky.

A pleasure to meet you. And thank you, as well, for all the help you gave us. I should perhaps apologise for my husband's rudeness yesterday evening: we were both very tired.

Yes, so we've been told several times.
