Where the hell did the teacher think that showing a complete R-rated movie is acceptable at ANY place apart from a college? Damn, another one out there to make the rest of us look bad.
Sounds like they already had problems with the grandparents trying to censor different things. The article says they tried to ban profanity, but that could just be the word "damn" used once or something. You're right; they need to open their minds a bit more and not be raising their grandchild this way. Their grandchild is in an exceptionally open environment (I've been hearing kids admonish THEIR OWN PEERS for saying "That's gay" - YAY!!!) and their grandparents are obviously from an extremely different social scheme of things.
I get sick of hearing about boyfriends, too, despite being straight. It's like, "Is this the ONLY topic you can talk about?" But I know what you mean, ofc :) We're getting there, hon.
