56. Danger Ahead

Oct 02, 2008 09:01

It was strange the way we met
so simply, so easily, I was surprised
with how well we hit it off,
two loons on a lake,
so similar I almost felt like your twin.
We were so close that I paid no heed
to the warning signs, "Danger Ahead"
"Falling stones, take care these ones
will crush your life." I didn't care,
life had taken a good turn, and I wanted
to hold on as long as I could. But it was not
to be, for warning signs should not be ignored
and "Danger Ahead" often means
that the good times are ending soon.
