Wow, decided that while I was back I would go ahead and read around and see how people are doing and if they are still posting. And I find that the LJ Staff is supporting and trying to raise funds for Planned Parenthood. Wow. It should be no surprise that you won't find any donations coming from me. My opinion on the matter should also be no big

Yeah, I did notice the Planned Parenthood thing on here too. I also do agree with all of your points on here. I'm a pro-life person myself (but not a very strict one, but when it comes down to it though, we are talking about the tiny person a couple is bringing into the world) because I do know that there are exceptions to everything--the biggest concern for me is those who have been raped by strangers, family members/relatives, etc. I work in the psych world, and it just pains me to see how people can "trash" babies as if they're objects and refuse to accept consequences based from their actions.

And no, my dear friend, I'm not going to unfriend you. *hugs* It's good to see you every so once in a while on here. Like you, I don't post much on here as the life of a nursing student doesn't give me the luxury of time, but I try to pop in every so once in a while. Given this last month's NaPoWriMo, I was on here more often. Take care, my friend!

I will not unfriend you. This is basically my opinion, but in your words. There are simple ways to avoid pregnancy, the most effective being to not commit the deed which leads to the possibility of new life. Very simple.
I do also agree that in the cases of rape and incest or a mother's life being in danger that terminating the pregnancy should be an option. I will go as far as to say that rape-by-stranger is rare, where as date-rape is common. I don't agree with those (for the most part) women that claim rape, when in fact it was just poor life decisions. I was upset that they were going to redefine what date-rape was, but when I saw the new and improved definition I can rest easy knowing that it doesn't punish victims of true crime.
