It is ok to be scared, but remember the Dr's do this every day. It will be pretty standard, and the technique is pretty much an art form.

I know that surgery is terrifying. I've never had anything done on my face (other than wisdom teeth), but I've had two major surgeries. Getting put under isn't any fun, but it's not the worst thing ever.

I'll pray for you, and that the scar is minimal. Even though both of my surgeries were abdominal and you can't see them unless you lift up my shirt, at which point you double over from my knee in your gut, my scars are very minimal, and probably wouldn't be noticed to someone who wasn't looking for them specifically. They faded a TON after about a year. I've heard that there's some kind of oil that you can use to prevent scarring -- I don't remember what it is, but I'll find out if you want me to.

Yeah, what Kayti said. This is a fairly routine matter; if it were complicated, it wouldn't be outpatient. I'm sure you'll come out of it just fine :)
