Name: Itza Mirage Torchy Feathers Dancing Without Wind if I can't think of anything else. I think I'm doomed to come up with bad names for RPG characters.

Background: The daughter of your basic shopkeepers in Nexus, Feathers was orphaned as a child due to an revenge killing gone wrong. Taken in by her uncle, a private mercenary of the Council, she was taught his trade, for he had no children to follow after him nor wife to care for her. She became a Council mercenary after her 16th birthday.

Feathers was a mercenary until she could no longer stand following obviously corrupt orders, the last being to turn out a lower class shopkeeping family from their home because they could not pay the tax after paying for their child's medicine, and she quit. Shortly after, she fell in with the revolutionary crowds, and quickly distinguished herself as a person to watch out for. However, after the "accidental" death of her uncle, she knew she had to lay low for awhile, so she left Nexus for awhile to give the Council time to forget.

Feathers then wandered among the farmlands and the outlying visits in Nexus pulling a Raph training and protecting the outlying farmlands from small bandit groups. Unfortunately, one night she misjudged, and found herself protecting a village from a group of ten or more bandits. She decided to stand her ground, and at the moment when she would rather give her life then let the people's life be taken over by the barbarians -- and it at this moment that she felt the touch of the Unconquered Sun's power course through her, allowing her to defeat the barbarians in single combat.

Shortly after this incident, Feathers stumbled onto a abandoned cairn in the forest, which held a mysterious figure. After being provoked into a fight, the figure proclaimed her "almost hopeless, but you'll do." She then began her training under the obviously powerful fighter, learning such things as tactics and strategy, how to hold her body in a fight, and how to hold her mind free of all entanglements.

She studied under the mysterious man for three years in the forests outside Nexus, before finally being declared ready to go back to Nexus and begin her fight against the Council anew. As a gift, her mentor gave her a pair of gloves, worked in the finest orihalcum and gold, which fit her like her own skin, which would help her show the power of her words. She was also given a small charm strip and was told that if she was in great need of advice, to meditate and fill it with her energy in a private place, and her mentor would hear her words. Or you know, something equally handwavy and mystical that would summon a Sidde.

Feathers made her way back to Nexus, renewing her relationship with the rebellion, and is working as one of the many free agents of the rebellion, and working as a part-time bouncer in one of the taverns in the lower city and other odd jobs, so she can stretch her reserves as much as possible.
