Hey you, get over yourself. You know who you are.

I’m beginning to wonder whether or not a state of satisfaction is obtainable. That perhaps I am trapped in a perpetual sense of inadequacy. A life long commitment to achieving some impossible standard, doomed never to reach the proverbial greener grass.
Maybe that’s just an adverse effect of ambition. After all, what motivation does satisfaction

Hopeless ambition is a pain in the ass, but so is malcontent. Just figure out which one fits you best, since I'm pretty sure people like you and I are damned to living in a constant state of one or the other. I've never understood people with realistic goals.

Your state of satisfaction is never going to be obtainable as long as you keep telling yourself that you are unsatisfied. As for the greener grass, don't look into changing your surroundings, look into adapting and making the best of what you've got at this time. Good things will come, but the more you sit on your ass acknowledging the fact you are unhappy, the longer it's going to take.
