No, seriously, he does. Grimmer's life goal is to expose the abuses of the East German government, so that what happened to him can never happen again. What was done to him, and everyone else at Kinderheim 511, was wrong. He may not be able to feel much, but he can see all the destructive effects.
He'd also kinda like his emotions, memories, and name back, but he gave up on that a long time ago. The best he can do, he thinks, is making sure no one else looses theirs.
In the short term, he'd like to know how the hell this place works, in hopes that will allow him to get home.
Anna is kinda terrifying. ): BUT BEYOND THAT. What he really does not want is for Kinderheim 511 or something like it to happen again. You could call it his greatest fear. There's also a constant worry in the back of his mind that something will cause him to snap and go all Magnificent Steiner (of course, in select circumstances he's okay with that happening ( ... )
