Going to a planet with welcoming, hospitable natives was always a treat. They greeted the away team with open arms and were excited to negotiate with the Captain and Spock. Chapel and McCoy were allowed to run scans on the populace of the small village to make sure they were all healthy, while Sulu and Chekov busied themselves scanning the flora ( Read more... )

For once, Leonard seemed to enjoy himself on the planet. People were happy, there wasn't a damn war going on, Jim was still in one peace, and the natives were nice. And there weren't any Klingons around.

He and Christine were the away team's medical personnel, and they did routine checkups on the natives, making sure they were all in good health, especially on pregnant women since they were apparently sacred vessels. Leonard didn't know, he just did what the natives told him for the most part so they would go home in one piece.

Later in the evening he was seated with the rest of the away team, with Sulu on his right and Kirk on his left, at a large table for a feast that was for a celebration of some sort. Probably for the positive outcome of the negotiations. It was more of a fruit meal - which he knew Spock would love - but didn't complain. It tasted better than the replicators on the ship at least. Leonard minded his manners and kept quiet about the food - he was a guest after all ( ... )

Christine had just gotten over to a medical cart with a scanner when a wave of dizziness hit her and she reached out for the closest biobed. Everything when black as she half landed against the bed, which softened her fall to the floor.

A moment later she came back to consciousness, lifting a hand to place against her forehead. Boy, she thought to herself, does my arm feel heavy! And my hand feels huge! Is it swollen? She slowly opened her eyes and blinked a few times to clear the residual dizziness. Then her eyebrows knitted together in confusion. This wasn't the med bay. It was Dr. McCoy's office. How did she get here, and where was he?

Pulling herself to her feet, she gasped, being much taller than she anticipated. She wobbled for a second, steadied herself, then glanced down at her body.

And screamed.

Leonard didn't stay out of it for long, but when he woke up, there was a confused look on his face. What was he doing out in Medical? He'd been in his office just a second ago, and he hadn't made it back out. Leonard felt light and when he ran a hand over his face, he scowled a little at the hands.

'Those don't feel like my hands. They feel like a woman's.' He pulled it back to look at it before one of the other nurses came over.

"Nurse Chapel, are you alright?" She asked, looking concerned and ready to scan him with the scanner. His brow furrowed and he moved to get up. "What? What on earth are you talkin' about, Nurse Hall?" About to scold her more, Leonard put a hand over his mouth.

'That was Christine's voice. Not mine. What the---'
Looking down he noted the breasts, the slim legs, the dress...

And before he could scream, he heard his own - god that was weird - from his office. Scrambling to his feet, he shoved past Nurse Hall to his office.

"Nurse Chapel!?"

After her scream, Christine stared at her hands, tugged at the hem of the uniform shirt she was now wearing, and finally reached up to run hands through her now much shorter hair.

When the door to the office opened and she heard a female voice, she whirled around...

To stare at her own face. She screamed again, clamped Leonard's large hand over her, no, his mouth, and pointed at him with the other hand.

She took a deep breath, dropped the hand covering the mouth, and shakily whispered, "Leonard?" in his voice.
