[ooc] pre-intro essay thing.

Yah okay so I probably won't be introing until after Christmas, but. . . trust me, an essay on Ushio's mentality at this point is as useful for you as it is for me. CONSIDER THIS A GUIDE TO HOW USHIO GOT TO WHERE SHE IS.

'I will meet new people, but I will always be by Haine's side.' )

Ask Haine about the extra that's all about Ushio. It's out in English, definitely. It explains her family background pretty well. And I think she dumped juice on one of Haine's friends, iirc. But I haven't read that part in awhile. Anyway, good read. A++.

Since I'd been wondering! And thinking on it too. Ushio's behavior around Takanari? Warm? Cold as usual? "You stole Haine >E"?

. . . durr I think I got confused on hairstyles, yeah. FIXING THAT.

ALSO uho |DD Yeah, I based that part in the essay off what they gave away in flashbacks for chapter 33, but I'd love to see any additional side canon \o/

a-and hahaha. THAT. . . WAS ONE OF THE THINGS I WISH THEY DEVELOPED MORE POST-33, but I mean. She definitely used to hate him and I distinctly recall a really nasty glare in his direction when he was spinning Haine around like the dorky boyfriend he is. In a sense, she probably still is. . . cautious about him, since he more than many other people is important to Haine and has the ability to make her very upset. And she obviously remembers his potential for cruelty. BUT she also knows that Haine really loves him by now and she seemed more than gung-ho to help find him when he was taken away. Not to mention when the possibility of Haine's marriage came up, her immediate reaction was not ">:(((" but rather a decision to make a photo collection of Haine's bridal dresses :|d So she's-accepted him, I suppose is the best ( ... )

I remember reading it, but I can't recall the details. Ushio was adopted into the family by one of her dad's "concubines" since his wife couldn't have a child. Then she was found to be infertile, so the heir of the family once again fails, etc. You should read it, to be sure. I think it's in volume eight.

Yeah, I figured it was like that. Takanari has a relationship in camp where he's just like "THIS IS USHIO ALL OVER AGAIN". Not in a bad way, because he's perfectly A-OK with people being all defensive over Haine and making him the bad guy. (Especially since Ushio has good reason to think so, um. Ahaha, orz.) They manage to mafia together well though which I thought was hilarious and says the most about their relationship. Maora starts making moves and they're both like DEATH GLARING him, and tickling Haine to be like NO NOT THE RIGHT ONE. HMPH. I-In their own minds. Anyway, I concur, and vote for mafia antics together on anyone who being mean to Haine. . . That's not Takanari or Ushio.

. . . yeah that. Would explain a lot. o-orz ushio's dad :((

And YES that would be their crown moment of cooperation there and agree that this mafiaing should occur in camp as well. DON'T DOKI DOKI AT HIM!!1

And yeah, the Ushio special is in Volume 8 which is out in English now, and Takanari summed up the important revelations pretty well \o/.
