yeah, they really do get you all freaked out with stories of ruthlessly evil and merciless troopers, and then you get there and the trooper is like "....ok, you're done, you passed, lunchtime for me." it is amusing. yay for your good luck! :D

Well, it was like, "Ok, they have a right to be this anal retentive, how bad are they going to be?" hehe

I think our family tends to set such high standards for ourselves that other people's expectations for us turn out to be ... well, lame. When I went for my license in New Hampshire, I actually already owned my first car ... but I was afraid they'd say the car was not road-worthy and send me packing, so I borrowed a friend's car that I'd never driven ever before. Aside from riding the clutch a little too much, I passed with flying colors, to my great surprise.

Boy howdy. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one of us who came out of the SAT testing room thinking "man, I must have been doing something wrong, it couldn't have been that easy, not with the way everyone else is panicking..."

I thought the SATs were fairly easy, myself ... but when they gathered us all in the cafeteria and handed out the scores, I was appalled to see 690 and 740 on my sheet! No one had ever explained the scoring system to me, so I naturally assumed it was like every other test I'd taken, percentage correct out of 100. I thought I'd scored 69% on one part and 74% on the other!! I was thinking, that's A D+ and a C! I had a few very bad minutes until my friend filled me in.

Yep! I recieved my combined 1320 and said, "Gah, I know I could have broken 1400." When my friend next to me revealed she was happy to break 1100, I turned my sheet over and smiled pleasantly.
