A transformer across the street from us blew up this afternoon, after a squirrel chewed... something. So not only did it surge the house, then knock the power out as they fixed it... apparently they decided it needed more work

You're right! It DID sound like dementors! I missed all the excitement of the transformer blowing (believe it or not, that happened before with that same one, maybe 15 yrs. ago?) but got here from babysitting just in time for the huge vacuum sucky thing to lull me to sleep. NOT.
