I like how your Philippine-tan actually gives birth to a real character that isn't just a simple figment of "what I wish our country would be portrayed as."
Also, you got me interested in my country's history! As much as I don't want to admit it, I don't like reading about it--I've been forced to study about it for most of my education, I want something else!

That's alright, I didn't have much interest in our country's history either until Hetalia and Kate Beaton kind of turned me into a history fag, hahaha. Seriously, all I was hearing during those classes was "BLAH BLAH BLAH THE SPANISH WERE EVIL." And here I am now buried in history books. >>
