New Bleach chapter out

Sad chapter, but intriguing.  More thinkies (and a few pics) below:

Sasakibe's funeral is actually incredibly sad.  I especially liked the light touches on his identity: the claim that he was, indeed, powerful, but simply chose to guard Yamamoto rather than step into a higher position.  (Any and all ByaRen folks will note with me that Byakuya and Renji are the focus while talking about this incredibly loyal bond, which was interesting to me, and which I will pray with everything in me was not foreshadowing of some kind).  But poor Yama-jii.  That has to weigh heavy on the heart, eh?

In other news, Ishida is about to have the mother of all identity crises, and it's already starting.  He can't go to Hueco Mundo this time, and though it seems like he's oblivious to the turn of events involving these new epic bad guys, I'd be willing to bet all kinds of money that he's not.  Ishida's known for being shrewd and thinking ahead, so I'm wondering if he won't use his time away from his friends to go tackle the matter himself in some form.

In other news, this chapter included a lot of Pesche's ass, and a Bad-Minion who looked like Findor's cousin once removed.  It's implied that Barragan and Starrk are indeed dead (not sure how true that might or might not hold out to be in the future) and that a lot of arrancar are being removed.

As always, the plot continues to move on, and dear god does this mean we're closer to seeing more of the Espada?  I can't wait.  This new arc is shaping up nicely.

P.S.

I watched the last episode of Bleach last night.  I cried my eyes out.  I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time to say goodbye to the manga.
