Yeeees! I mean, not the genocide ofc. That's horrible. *cough* But those new villains remind me of the Nazzi so much it makes me uneasy. I also think they are terribly underestimating their enemies. ... And am developing a strong dislike for them... And not just for insulting Sousuke, surprisingly... though he's twice the man they all are combined... *tch*
And speaking of the devil, why do they think he's dead? o.O
But instead of sad, this chapter made me feel hopeful. First Loly/Menoly, then those three, I can't wait to see what happens next. Especially with Urahara's timing (stalker!) and the fact that he actually seems to be heading to the front lines with Ichigo this time, instead of staying behind making his badass, awesomely almighty plans... Highly suspicious...
You'll be happy to receive a badass, sexy, not-entirely-evil Sousuke as Grimmjow's boss in my recent fic...just because people are complex and I feel like doing this.
No, no, this idol has clay feet, seriously. But think who's willing to kill so far...and who his boss might be - and you'll have the truly bad villain of this story :-)
I'll seriously have to read the manga. I've been mooching off of your and Blackstorm's synopses just to stay in touch, but it actually looks GOOD now. Oh, Kubo. Love ya, dude. What a storyteller.
LOL about the icon! I quake in fear now! But yes, I feel moderately bad about it. You know what though, there are only so many hours in a day...I haven't even finished the anime past Aizen's defeat 'cause I'm not looking forward to Ichi losing his powers. OTOH, I'm on chapter 42 of my "Carbon Copy" edit; 6 more chapters and the prologue, and I'll be able to hand it off to my husband's tender mercies, and resume the Het Cat for another edit-and-tweak. And, I'm writing 2 fics. How can I ever find the time? How do you find the time?
Yeah...I should find the time. Maybe I can neglect my training...or my family...;-)
The first thing I thought after I completed the chapter was a Shinigami/Arrancar alliance with Ichigo taking centerstage, especially if Ichigo and company get into the fight between the Vandenreich and the remaining Arrancar.
Kubo's way of allowing us to become sympathetic towards the Arrancar where they themselves were the aggressors is awesome story-telling. ^^ In terms of dark and bleak, I wouldn't say it's as in your face as other mangakas, but it's a subtle one that goes well with the shonen genre.
